Tom is proud to serve clients as a fourth-generation Minnesota attorney, helping families to plan for their loved ones' futures, and to help families carry on when loved ones pass. From simple wills and living trusts, to probate, guardianship and trust administration matters, Tom has had the privilege of helping families and individuals in Minnesota assure that their loved ones are cared for, in this life and beyond.

Tom grew up in Hopkins. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Metropolitan State University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell-Hamline).

His family roots go back to Park Rapids, Minnesota, where his great-grandfather’s portrait is still displayed within Douglas Lodge at Itasca State Park – the lodge that Thomas the 1st and his son Samuel built in the early 1900’s – known as “pioneer builders” in that part of the state. Thomas 1st was also a probate judge and Justice of the Peace.

Tom’s grandfather, Thomas the 2nd, headed the law firm of Myers and Myers in the 1940s, while Tom’s dad, Thomas the 3rd, practiced in the Trust Department at the former Farmers and Mechanics Bank in Minneapolis, later to become Executive Director of the Minnesota State Bar Association before his untimely death in 1966 at the age of 49.

Corwin is a fifth-generation Minnesota attorney who practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, business formation, as well as commercial and residential real estate.  He believes proper estate planning can be used as a tool to ensure a family has guidance before, during, and after the passing of a loved one.  Compassion and integrity are essential to build trust with clients, ensuring they are comfortable with the decisions they are making each step along the way.

Corwin was drawn to the legal field after a cousin confided in him that they would not have known how to handle their recently deceased father’s estate without the help of the family attorney.  This conversation sparked a drive to return to school so that he may help others who find themselves in such a position.

Corwin grew up in Hopkins, graduating from Hopkins High School.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.  He received his Juris Doctorate from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, graduating Cum Laude.

In his free time, Corwin enjoys spending time with his Wife Caitlin and their son, Thomas James Corwin Myers VI. You can often find them at a Twins or Saints game or wandering around the many area parks.
